Trần Temple Festivals in Nam Định
The Trần temple complex combines dynastic commemoration with a busy seal ceremony. Do not confuse the two festival periods.

Broadly February/March and September/October; programmes differ.
Seal opening on the night between the fourteenth and fifteenth days of the first lunar month; commemoration around the twentieth of the eighth.
Usual period; not a confirmed date for a future edition. Check the organiser.
Things to do
Visit public parts of the commemoration or plan a temple visit outside the peak ceremony.
Transport & arrival
The complex is near Nam Định; confirm local traffic measures and return transport.
Visiting respectfully
Ask permission for portraits and recordings. Keep routes clear and follow participants’ and organisers’ instructions.

The seal ceremony can draw very large crowds. A seal or ritual is not a guarantee of good fortune.
