Which Vietnam fits your month?

Eight regions, twelve months. Compare temperature and rain, discover the seasons, and check your destination’s forecast.

There is no single national rainy season: in October Huế can be very wet while Hanoi becomes drier. Phú Quốc follows another pattern again.

Common questions

When is the best time for all of Vietnam?

There is no perfect month for every region. March and April can offer a useful compromise for a north-to-south route, but the mountains, central coast and southern islands each need their own consideration.

Does high rainfall mean all-day rain?

No. Monthly totals do not show how rain is distributed through a day. Intense showers can bring many millimetres; prolonged rain is also possible. Use a forecast for your actual travel day.

Where can I find storm warnings?

Vietnam’s official NCHMF weather service ↗

Climate tables are not warnings for storms, flooding or sea conditions. Follow local instructions.
